The 2021 Match Play Championship Presented by Weatherman, EZ-GO, Signs By The Sea, & PXG and Supported by the PGA TOUR, is set. Here is a look into each of the matches.

Key Match Ups:

(1) Danny Lewis vs. (64) Ryan McLean

Defending Champion, Danny Lewis, Assistant Golf Pro at Hollywood GC, will look to repeat his title this week as he plays Watchung Valley GC's Assistant Golf Pro, Ryan McLean.

(3) Pat Fillian vs. (62) Dan Schleichert

Pat Fillian, COO & Director of Golf, will play host this week as well as look to earn his first Match Play Championship of his career. Fillian finished 2nd last year after being defeated by Danny Lewis 2&1. 

(31) Kyle Nestor vs. (34) Derek McDonald

Kyle Nestor, who came in first at the 2021 Match Play Qualifier at Cherry Valley CC after shooting a -5 (67) will face Echo Lake's own Director of Instruction, Derek McDonald. Nestor will look to use his hot play to advance to the Round of 32 while McDonakd will look to use his local course knowledge to advance to the Round of 32. 

(6) Frank Esposito vs. (59) David Reasoner

Esposito and Reasoner, both past Match Play Champions, will look to defeat the other as they look to repeat titles. Esposito has won this Championship 3 times (2006, 2007, & 2014). Reasoner hsa won this Championship 1 time (2017). 

(2) Grant Sturgeon vs. (63) Diamo Streaser

2018 Match Play Champion, Grant Sturgeon, Head Golf Pro at Arcola CC, will face his own Assistant Golf Pro this week, Diamo Streaser who earned his spot this week by qualifying at Cherry Valley CC as the first alternate.
