August Assistant of the Month - CJ Nafus of Roxiticus

August 7th, 2017

CJ Nafus, the first assistant and lead teaching professional at Roxiticus Golf Club, has been named the August Assistant of the Month for the New Jersey Section. Nafus, who has been with Roxiticus since March 2014, consistently manages his time by assisting with golf shop duties and starting the Wednesday’s men’s group tee times all while instructing golfers on how to improve their game.

The former Methodist University PGA Golf Management student teaches all levels of players, from beginner to experienced. The 26-year-old frequently attends seminars and schools across the country to apply more teaching methods. He has embraced the latest teaching technology, using Flightscope, Boditrak Pressure Plate, and 4D Motion Capture Systems. He uses Dr. Kwon’s swing biomechanics in his teaching methods, and is also 3D certified with Penn State Biomechanics and Forces and Motion by Dr. Phil Cheetham and Dr. Sasho MacKenzie. Nafus also has a level one and two certification in Swing Catalyst.

The members at Roxiticus that Nafus has taught have grown more confident with their game due to his expansive knowledge of the golf swing.

Before joining Roxiticus, Nafus served as an assistant at Hidden Creek Golf Club, and has learned a great deal under his current PGA Head Professional, Tod Hojnacki. He hopes to apply his experience to hopefully be a PGA Head Professional in the future.
