Beach finished fourth place in the national race behind 2017 PGA Professional Champion winner Omar Uresti, 2016 PGA Professional Champion Rich Berberian Jr., and Rod Perry. Beach’s ranking came from a T-9 finish at the PGA Professional Championship in June and a victory at the New Jersey PGA Professional Championship at Mountain Ridge Country Club in September. This is the first time a Section Professional has finished inside the top 10 since Brian Gaffney in 2012 and Frank Esposito in 2010 and 2007.

Esposito concluded his senior season fifth in the national race thanks to his second victory at the Senior PGA Professional Championship in September. Esposito will attempt to defend his national title at the 30th Senior PGA Professional Championship, October 25 – 28 at PGA Golf Club, Port St. Lucie, Florida. This is the third time Esposito has placed inside the top 10 since 2013.
